The Hope Mill, or ’De Hoop’, is an historic corn mill located on Molenweg in the town of Renkum. The mill was built in 1853, as a replacement for an older mill that was demolished in order to make room for the expansion of the nearby paper mill. The Hope Mill suffered heavy damage during the Second World War. As a result of the damage, it was decommissioned and converted into a storage silo. The current owner of the mill, W. Roosenboom, is currently attempting to raise funds to arrange for the mill’s restoration.
