The Cornflower mill was built in 1872, near the Scherpennise town center. The mill was built by W. Dijkman, for his son Henry, who had been the miller of a closed post mill called ’The Seahorse’. Mr Dijkman sold The Seahorse mill to the Frederiks family in 1871. The cornflower mill is now owned by Tholen County, and the current miller is Mr. L. A. Verhage. The mill is open to the public every Saturday.
