The Bronkhorstermolen is a working corn mill. It was built in 1844, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed in a fire. The mill was in active use until the Second World War. When the mill was closed, it’s condition deteriorated rapidly. In 1960, restoration work was started. The mill was closed again, due to disagreements among the private owners. It was eventually bought by the town, and re-opened. The mill now produces flour, and is open to the public every Saturday. Tours are available on request.
