The Stedelijk Museum in Roermond was once the home of P.J.H. Cuypers, a famous architect responsible for numerous Catholic churches around the country. He lived and worked in the building for much of his life, and the museum now includes a preserved small private chapel, and the extension in which many of his decorative panels and fixtures were produced. The museum also displays many of his plans and paintings, along with work by other local artists such as Hendrik Luyten.
