The South Limburg Steam Train Company (ZLSM) is located on the famous ’Millions Line’ – so called because of the high construction costs. It is the only ’mountain’ railway in the Netherlands, and its steam trains once hauled goods and people across the Limburg hills between Kerkrade and Valkenburg. The line has been carefully preserved, and an original DB Railbus now operates a shuttle service. Visitors can ride on traditional steam or diesel services, to get a taste of transport as it used to be.
