The St Johns Cathedral (or, St Janskathedral) in S’ Hertogenbosch is considered by many to be one of the finest cathedrals in the country. It was constructed between 1330 and 1530 – the building was originally a Romanesque-style parish, but a Gothic transept and choir was added between 1340 and 1450, and the original building was demolished, and re-done in an Gothic style. Only the clock tower remains of the original Romanesque construction.
