The Soasele Mill was built in 1870 for the miller Augustine Bootsveld, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed during a storm. In 1900, Bootsveld traded the mill and his home to Bernard Rotgerink of Dulder in return for Mr Rotgerink’s farm business. The Rotgerink family sold the mill to the Soaseler Mill Foundation in 1977, for the token amount of 1 Guilder, on the condition that the foundation restored and maintained the mill. Tours of the mill are available upon request.
