Sint Cunerakerk, Rhenen

Map
Sint Cunerakerk is a Gothic church in the small town of Rhenen. The church is named after St Cunera, who was a 5th century English princess that was kidnapped while on a pilgrimage to Rome. He was rescued by Radboud, the king of Rhenen, and Cunera decided to stay in the town. She became very popular because of her work with the poor and the sick – so popular that Radboud’s wife had her murdered. Her ghost was said to appear and perform medical miracles from time to time.
