The Schokland Museum is located in the remains of an old church near the islet of Schokland. The building dates back to 1834, and serves as a reminder of the constant threat of flooding that the early inhabitants of Schokland had to endure. The museum holds a variety of items that were found when the polders were drained, and also serves as a starting point for a cycle-path and foot-path that traces the old shoreline.
