The Noordbrabants Museum is housed in an 18th century building just southwest of the cathedral in ’s Hertogenbosch. It was once the home of the provincial commissioner, and has been expanded with two new wings and a sculpture garden added to the original structure. The museum houses a collection of items spanning from prehistory to modern times, along with a number of local paintings. The items on display range from medieval paintings to torture devices and various examples of modern art.
