The Palmboom Mill Museum is housed in a replica of an 18th century corn mill located on Noordvest in the town of Palmboom. The new version of the mill was built in 1992, and the museum contains displays about the history of Schiedam, and the role of the corn mill in Dutch history. The Palmboom Mill is still in use today, and visitors can tour the mill, and see it in action. Each year, the museum holds an exhibition based on a different theme.
