The National Park De Meinweg is a large park located just near the border to Germany. The park spans over 1600 hectares of land, and offers free entry. The visitor’s centre includes a small nature museum, and the park itself is ideal for nature walks and cycle tours, with expansive forests, heather patches, and small idyllic lakes. The private estate of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who served as guru to the Beatles during the 1960s, is next to the park.
