The Museum Beelden-aan-Zee is located on Hartvelstraat in Scheveningen. It is a museum featuring an assortment of interesting modern sculptures arranged on a pavilion built by King William 1 for his ailing wife, Wilhelmina, in 1826. The museum displays works by many well known sculptors including Karel Appel, Man Ray, and Fritz Koenig. The sculptures are all based upon the theme of ‘the human experience’, but each artist brings a unique viewpoint and expression to the display.
