The Moppemolen is an 18th century polder mill located near the Haarlemmermeer Ringvaart. The mill was built in 1792 to serve the 360 hectare Veender and Lijkerpolder. The Moppemolen was bought by the Rhineland Mill Foundation in 1983, and is ran by a Mr. A. Toet, a voluntary miller who has lived in the mill since it was restored in 1995. The mill is still in use as a backup drainage pump today.
