The Molen PV was built in the at the end of the 17th century, to serve a 222 hectare section of the Zijpe and Hazepolder. The mill is located in a picturesque, open pasture at the southern end of the polder. The mill was decommissioned in 1969, and the derelict mill was bought by the Zijper Mill Foundation. In 1976, the mill was restored by the foundation, and since then the mill has been operated on a regular basis. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
