The Molen OT was built in the second half of the 17th century, to serve a 395 hectare section of the Zijpe and Hazepolder. The mill is located in a picturesque, open pasture. The mill was decommissioned in 1967, when the OT section of the Zijpe and Hazepolder was merged with a neighbouring section. The derelict mill was bought by the Zijper Mill Foundation in 1967, and restored to working order. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
