The Mill Ooster N was built in 1740 to serve the eastern half of the Afdeling polder. The mill was responsible for an 177 hectare area of land. The Mill Ooster N is often referred to as ’The van Brommer Mill’, after the name of the last miller, Mr D. Brommer, who operated the mill from 1924 to 1962. The Mill Ooster N is currently owned by the Zijper Mill Foundation. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
