The Molen Noorder M was built in the 17th century to serve a 263 hectare section of the Zijpe and Hazepolder. The mill is located on a picturesque, open pasture near the North Channel. The mill was closed down in 1953, and its condition rapidly began to decay. In 1969, the derelict mill was bought by the Zijper Mill Foundation. In 1970, the mill was restored and put back into operation. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
