The Molen Noorder G was built in the 17th century to serve a 205 hectare section of the Zijpe and Hazepolder. The mill is located on a picturesque, open pasture near the Groot Sloot. The mill was closed down in 1958, and its condition began to rapidly decay. In 1969, the derelict mill was bought by the Zijper Mill Foundation. In 2003, the mill was restored and put back into operation. Tours of the mill are available by appointment only.
