Lijkermolen No. 2

The Lijkermolen No. 2 is one of two historic polder mills situated on the Poeldijk in the town of Rijpwetering. The mill was built in 1780, to serve the 540 hectare Drooggemaakte Veender and Lijkpolder. The Lijkermolen No. 2 was built by the mill-makers Tijmen Paddenburg and Pieter Obdam, and the masonry work was done by Henry March. The Lijkermolen No. 2 is now owned by the Rhineland Mill Foundation, and is open to the public.
