The Koningshoeven monastery offers guided tours, which include a visit to the La Trappe brewery. This brewery produces the only Dutch Trappisten beer, meaning beer which is brewed by monks. The brewery is one of only 7 in the world permitted to carry the ’Authentic Trappist Product’ logo. Visitors are given a tour of the monastery, shown how the beers are made, and then given a chance to sample them in tasting sessions.
