The Havekes Mill was built in 1898 to replace a 14th century post mill. The mill was originally owened by E. W. Havekes, and was sold to A. F. Fakkert in 1919. At the time of the sale, the mill was in a decaying condition, and only the electric motor inside the mill was ever used. It was not until 1975 that the mill was restored to working order. The Havekes Mill Preservation Society was founded in 1983, and now maintains the mill. The Havekes Mill is open to the public every Saturday.
