The Genhoes Castle is also known as the “Oud Valkenburg” it is located within viewing distance of the Schaloen Castle. The first written record of the Genhoes Castle dates back to 1041, but the building that stands there today is much newer. The castle has had several owners, and has been expanded and remodelled many times. The castle is now owned by the Nature Monument Association, who use part of the castle’s grounds for a farm.
