Ellert en Brammert is an open air museum that depicts life in 19th century Drenthe. The village is focused on life during the 19th century, and covers a wide range of activities that were a feature of day to day life during that time, including everything from education, to sheep farming, to crafts such as carpentry. The village is just on the edge of Schoonoord, and is accessible via public transport.
