The Duivenhok mill is an historic water mill locatedon on Tritzum in the town of Tzum. The mill was built at the start of the 19th century, to serve the private ’Duivendak’ polder – a 68 hectare area of land. In the 1960s, the mill was upgraded to use an engine in addition to wind power. The Duivenhok mill suffered serious damage during a storm in 1973, and was not restored until 1986. The Duivenhok is now owned by the Franekeradell county.
