The ’De Hoop’ mill is an historic corn mill located on Rhabergseweg in the town of Rha. The mill was built in 1879 to replace an older mill that had burned down the previous year. The mill was originally owned by Mr. A. Reuling. In the mid 20th century the mill entered a period of decline, but it was saved by the Hofman family from Amsterdam when they bought the mill in 1995, and started a major restoration project. The mill is still in use today, and is open to the public on selected weekends – current opening hours can be found on the mill web site.
