The Brak Mill was built in 1739 on a 2.5 meter high ’molenberg’ – a small, artificial hill built to elevate the mill so that it can more efficiently catch the wind. The Brak Mill suffered heavy damage during World War Two. The damage was repaired in 1950. The mill is open to the public every day between Easter and late October. There is a small gift shop and cafe on the ground floor of the mill.
