The Babuurstermolen is an historic polder mill located on Baburen in the town of Tjerkwerd. The mill was built in 1882, and served the 320 hectare Exmorra-East polder until 1990, when a new pumping station took over the husbandry of the polder. The mill is now owned by the Fryske Mill Foundation. The neigbouring miller’s house is now used as a museum, which exhibitions detailing the struggle of the Dutch people against the water throughout history.
