The Wind Motor Nistelrode is a relatively modern windmill located near the Oss – Eindhoven highway in the town of Nistelrode. The mill was built in 1989, and uses an American engineering design known as the Hercules Wind Engine. The mill is privately owned. The owner, W. Saartjes, bought the mill for 5,000 Guilders, and spent 36,000 restoring the mill to working order. He now uses it to generate electricity. The mill is capably of generating electricity at a rate of up to 6kW / hour.
