The Windmotor Opende is a traditional water mill located near a camp site in the town of Openderweg. The mill was built early in the 20th century, to a design known as the U.S. Wind Engine. The mill is quite small, with 18 wind sheets, and a flight of just 4 meters. The Windmotor Opende occasionally opens to the public on national holidays, such as National Windmill Day.
