The Wilpermolen was built in 1736, to replace an older post mill that had been destroyed by a fire. The mill was sold to Baron L. J. van Eck in 1766. Van Eck equipped the mill with four grindstones, each one used for a different form of grain. In 1975, the mill was restored, and had an electric motor fitted, for use when there was not enough wind to power the mill by traditional means. The mill is currently used to grind grain for animal feed. Tours of the mill are available upon request.
