Molenstreek 1, 9738 AC Noorderhoogebrug - Netherlands

Map
The Wilhelmina mill is a traditional corn mill in the town of Noorderhoogebrug. It was built in 1907, and was originally called ’The Lion’. The mill was bought by Mr Van Wijngaarden in 1948, and he changed its name to that of his wife, Wilhelmina. The mill suffered severe damage during a storm in 1972. The owner could not afford to repair the mill, so sold it to the town of Groningen. The town repaired the mill, and it was put back in to service in September 1982. The Wilhelmina mill is open to the public every Saturday.
