The Weijpoortsche Mill is an historic water mill located on Weijpoort in the town of Niewerbrug. The mill was built in 1564, and is of a traditional ’wipmolen’ design. The wipmolen is the oldest for of mill in the Netherlands. The Weijpoortsche Mill is now owned by the Rhineland Mill Foundation. The foundation restored the mill in 1995. The Weijpoortsche Mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public on the first Saturday of every month.
