The Velorama National Bicycle Museum is the only one of its kind in Holldand. It holds a collection of 250 classic bicycles, and looks at how cycles were invented, and how they have evolved over the years. The museum opened in 1981, and was based on a private collection of bikes and accessories owned by the museum’s founder, Mr Gertjan Moed, a collection which includes the first ’hobby-horse’, which was made in 1817.
