The Tjasker in Nieuw Scheemda is a modern watermill located on Pastorieweg in the city of Scheemda. The mill was built in 1992 by the Groningen Employment Projects Foundation, following a commission by Deputy Mayor Pieter Drenth. The mill was officially opened on the 20th September 1993, and is used as a training mill for volunteer millers. The Nieuw Scheemda Tjasker mill is open to the public every Monday evening during the summer months.
