The Oostvoorne Mill

The corn mill in Oostvoorne was built in 1821, on behalf of Johan Arkenhout. His family owned and worked the mill for three generations,before it was sold to Pleun van Toledo, who installed a petrol motor to enable the mill to work during calm weather. Since then, the mill has had several owners. It is currently owned by Marieke Schotsman and Frank Borst. The mill is currently being restored, and it is hoped that it will be fully operational again soon.
