The Noordstar Mill was built in 1849 on behalf of Mr J. N. Mulder. Mr Mulder’s father was the owner of the very tall ’Aurora’ windmill. The Noordstar was a much smaller mill, and many locals took to calling the two mills ’Father and son’. The is now ran by Mr G. J. de Vries. The Noordstar mill is open to the public, however it is best to call to make an appointment before visiting.
