The Lelie Mill is a traditional 8-sided stellingmolen located on Molenpad in the town of Ommen. The mill is a working corn mill with four flock grindstones. A stellingmolen is a tall mill with high sails, and a wooden walkway, or ’stelling’ around the outside of the mill that allows the miller to safely reach and turn the sails. The Lelie Mill is now owned by the county. Restoration work was carried out on the mill in 1974. The mill can be seen in operation almost every day, is open to the public for tours on Saturdays.
