The Korenaar
Molenstraat 38, 4693 BK Poortvliet - Netherlands

Map

The Korenaar was built in 1710. It is a heavy round stone ’stellingmolen’ located on Molenstraat just south of the Poortvlient town center. On the north side of the mill there is a picture of a coat red and white coat of arms showing two lions and a crown. The mill has had several owners, including P. Tholen, and the baker J. Jansen. In 1985 the mill was restored, and the white exterior was painted yellow, in the style more common to IJsselsteen mills.
