The Kievit Mill is an historic water mill located on Sânwei in the town of Menaldum. The mill was built in 1802 to serve the old 265 hectare Berikumer Polder. The mill was bought by the Menaldumadeel Mill Foundation in 1986, and was restored in 1995. Today, the Kievit mill is part of a small drainage circuit including several historic mills. The Kievit Mill is open to the public, and tours are available by appointment.
