The Hope Mill
Zuiddijk 94, 3143 AS Maassluis - Netherlands

Map

The Hope is a traditional stellingmolen corn mill in the town of Maasluis. It was built in 1690. The mill has a plate showing the year 1620, but this refers to an older wooden mill that occupied the site before the current stone one. The mill was sold to the town in 1928, and since 1969 there has been lots of restoration work done on both the internal workings, and the outside of the mill. The mill is now in working order, and is open to visitors two days a week.
