The original Friendschip Mill was destroyed by a fire in 1961. The Friend Foundation of Zaagmolen was recently founded with the intention of re-building the polder mill. The foundation has permission from the town waterboard to go ahead with the project, and are currently gathering the funds required to rebuild the mill.
