The Emma Mill was built in 1886 on behalf of Adrian Rombouts, a young miller from Elshout. The mill stayed in the Rombouts family for three generations, before it was sold to the town of Viijmen in 1960. The mill was restored in 1967, and is now used to produce a variety of grain products for sale in the mill shop. The Emma corn mill is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday each week.
