The Dijkmolen was built in 1718, it is a traditional water mill, and served the local polder until 1934 before being upgraded to a steam pump system. In 1977 the mill was sold to the Board of Delfland, who are still responsible for maintaining the mill today. The current miller is Henk de Bruijn. The mill is open to the public, although it can only be seen in operation on certain days.
