The Blazekop Mill is located on the outskirts of the town of Ovezande. The Blazekop was originally a polder mill, and served the Eemspolder from 1791 to 1884. It was then rebuilt in its current location as a corn mill. There is a stone on the Southeastern side of the mill engraved with the text ’The first stone was laid by PM Jong and AA Rijk on March 8th 1884’. The mill is now maintained by The Blazekop Mill Foundation. Visits can be arranged upon request.
