The ’t Hert Mill was built in 1899 by F. Zijthoff and Son from Deventer, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed by a fire the year before. The mill has had several owners, with the most recent being Gebr. Van De Poll. There were originally two mills in the centre of Putten, and the ’t Hert mill is the only one that remains, the other mill was destroyed by a fire in 1926. The ’t Hert Mill is open to the public, with tours available upon request.
