The original Prins Bernhardmolen was built during the 19th century, but was destroyed by a fire in the 1920s. It was not possible to rebuilt the mill, so an old closed post mill from Someren was transferred to Melick to be used instead. After the Second World War, the corn mill was completely rebuilt by the Prince Bernhard Mill Foundation. The new mill was officially opened on National Mill Day in 1999. The Prins Bernhardmolen is open to the public every Sunday during the summer.
