The Oukoper Mill is one of the most well known mills in the Netherlands. It is located on the A2 road between Utrecht and Amsterdam, and can be seen in operation almost every day. The mill was originally built in 1644, but was severely damaged during the French invasion in 1672. The mill was rebuilt in 1675, using remains from the old building. Since then, the mill has been restored and renovated many times, and is in very good condition. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
