The Oude Banmolen is a modern corn mill located on Molenveldweg in the town of Meerssen. The mill was built in 1935, and is a water mill with two turbines. The mill complex is considered to be a ’monument of business and technology’, and an important part of the industrial heritage of the town. The mill was used to generate electricity in the 1980s. The Oude Banmolen is currently idle, and is in need of major restoration work.
