Obdammerdijk 8, RA 1713 Obdam

Map

The Obdammermolen was built in the last half of the 17th century, to serve the 905 hectare Obam polder. The mill was cosed down in 1970, but restored in 1975, and has been ran on an occasional basis since then. In 2001, the mill was sold by the West Friesland Waterboard to the West Frisian Mills Foundation. The foundation have done a lot of preservation work on the mill, including waterproofing and replacing many parts of the sails. The Obdammermolen is open to the public.
